THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE MISSION

Meet The Team
NIEL AND KRISSA SOMERO

They are the impetus behind the Cana's Servants organization. They attended a Family Life event together for the first time several years ago, and despite (in their own words) uncovering flaws which they did not know they had in their relationship, they fell in love with each other all over again. Since that first event, Niel and Krissa have been on a mission: to impress on others the importance of a Christ-filled relationship and reconnecting with your spouse. When not sharing podcasts he's found to be noteworthy, or supplying other men with literature to encourage them in their own relationships, Niel spends his time in the entrepreneurial world of construction equipment design and manufacturing. Krissa supports Niel in his business ventures, while also counseling, encouraging and lifting up women in need of a true friend. Niel and Krissa have been married for 27 years and have three adult children, a (favorite) son-in-law, two granddaughters who are the light of their world.
ERIC AND MELISSA ANDERSON

Having experienced the love of God during and after divorce, and how His love has strengthened their faith, Eric and Melissa in turn love the Lord and have a heart for those who have been tasked to walk a similar path. They firmly believe that Christ is faithful through all of life‘s challenges, and that He alone is the source of hope. Married seven years, Eric and Melissa are blessed to share eight children, two sons-in-law, three daughters-in-law and 15 grandchildren. They have enjoyed many adventures together, including their first (hopefully of many) Love Like You Mean It marriage cruise in 2026. While they freely admit that they are not musically gifted, they nonetheless enjoy singing and praising the Lord. In their own words, “Life is never boring. God is so good!” The deep conviction of a Godly marriage gives both Eric and Melissa a heart to similarly share with and to encourage others. The verse that they feel most applicable to their life together is Matthew 6:33 “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Eric and Melissa pray that you could apply this verse to your marriage journey as well. Eric’s career has been in construction and excavation his whole life, but he says he has never worked a day because he loves what he does. When not doting on her grandchildren, Melissa lets her light shine as a seamstress, performing custom alterations to wedding gowns while she gently counsels the giddy brides-to-be.
JOE AND CAMMIE SOMERO

After 25+ years of marriage, which has blessed them with 5 children, two daughters in law, 3 grandchildren (and counting), 20 years of life in South Carolina that included Joe starting and managing a large scale concrete placement company, and 10 years of farm life in Wisconsin, Joe and Cammie have moved back to Southern NH where they were both born and raised. Together, they have purchased a farm where Joe will continue his passion for regenerative, holistic farming, and manage his growing herd of Red Angus cattle. Joe finds joy in sharing the knowledge he has gained from his life’s work with others and has become a mentor to many. As a stay-at-home mom, Cammie was afforded the opportunity to not only spend 15 precious years homeschooling their children, but to also focus on what she is most passionate about – her family, their health, the joy in giving, and a continuous pursuit of Truth. Amongst all that, she has started a side hustle in the real estate and interior design industry. The diverse environments and experiences they have shared, through seasons of both joy and sorrow, have allowed them to grow in their faith and experience first-hand God’s love, his forgiveness, and his gift of Salvation. It is the prayer of Joe and Cammie that they can use these experiences, and with it, the proof of God’s faithfulness, to encourage other married couples in their own relationships with each other.
JOEL AND JENNIFER SIKKILA

Like many others, Joel and Jen have had to make the difficult journey from simply living together as married individuals to a true, Biblical marriage relationship — a Union with Christ at the center and service to each other. The road there has rarely been smooth travel, and has caused a number of painful memories and scars. As a result of the three decades of this experience that they share together, they have made it part of their mission to teach and encourage other couples to the same end. Joel and Jen are blessed with four adult children, and two sons-in-law that they happily claim as their own. Joel and Jen live in New Ipswich, NH, where Joel serves part-time as a pastor in their local church and part-time as a construction consultant. Jen provides in-home tutoring services to high-school aged children, and helps facilitate the Care and Keeping program for church members experiencing trials and hardships. They have two grandcats, but no grandchildren as of yet. Nonetheless, they are optimistic that those will also be along soon.
RUSSELL AND MELISSA SALO

Russ and Missy have known each other since elementary school, started dating in high school, and have now been married almost 40 years. Through a life together rooted in faith in God’s promises and their commitment to each other and to their family, they have experienced what it truly means to love, to support, and to persevere in a marriage relationship. Two individuals united as one, from quite different backgrounds and yet with similar and shared values, they have had to lean heavily on their faith, resilience, and their commitment to keep choosing the other over themselves. From the days of hectic sports and social schedules that came with raising a family of four children, to leading an in-home Christian youth group for their own children and the countless other teenagers that they welcomed into their hearts and lives, to the (sometimes) still quiet that comes with being empty nesters, they nonetheless continue to daily thank God for the grace, growth and deep appreciation that they have for each other. Russ and Missy have spent the better part of their life as true partners – in long days (and nights) building a successful masonry business to support their growing family, coaching youth golfers (Russ) and volleyball players (Missy) in the evenings, and somehow finding the time in between to lovingly restore (with period-authentic materials and details, mind you) a circa 1768, picturesque, Colonial Manor in New Ipswich, NH as their family home. (ask them about their detached, onsite guest quarters, housed in a restored and repurposed 1800’s cigar store) While spending time with their 5 (soon to be 7) grandchildren is first on their list, they also enjoy spending time on the golf course together. But Russ and Missy are also looking forward to the “course” ahead. Wherever God leads them, their prayer is that they could continue to serve others by promoting, strengthening and encouraging the marriage relationships around them.
ANDRE AND JANEL AHO

Believing that each was an answer to the other’s prayer that God would grant for them an equally yoked, Christian marriage, Andre and Janel have now shared almost thirty years of marriage together. It is their firm belief that this is a testimony to God’s faithfulness, grace and sustaining love. Although from similar backgrounds, with similar beliefs and convictions regarding a Biblical marriage, they learned quickly that a good marriage doesn’t just “happen”. Rather they learned that it required first a commitment to God, and then to each other. Through this process of learning, they have experienced many wonderful blessings from God – a wealth of family being chief among them. They have been blessed with eight children and eight grandchildren and are grateful for each one. The thirteen-year age difference between their two youngest children was itself a surprise, but it was a gift that brought with it renewed joy within their home. It has been their experience that the more time they spend walking and talking with the Lord, both individually and together, the stronger and sweeter their marriage has become. It has also been their desire that, as they have been so graciously blessed in their own lives and marriage, they could in turn honor God by serving and blessing those around them. In this capacity, Andre currently serves as a director on his local church board, and as a missionary overseas for a church-related organization. Andre and Janel have also jointly volunteered their service in many other various capacities, in the church as well as in the local community, and wherever God has placed them. On a professional level, Andre’s career as a home builder and realtor has spanned over 25 years. Besides her duties as a mother and grandmother, Janel works in the office with Andre as time allows.
